Making Money Taking Surveys

Can you really be making money taking surveys online? Yes, you can. However, making money taking surveys is not necessarily going to make you rich. As a nice bit of side money or a way to earn some gifts, you can find some surveys that will offer a little extra cash each month.

There are some companies out there advertising how easy it is to begin making money taking surveys online. They tell you that you will be able to retire from your job and become rich. However, that is not usually the case. Most people making money taking surveys are averaging between $200 and $300 per month. Not necessarily enough to let you retire, but definitely some extra pocket money.

What is the average amount you will get when you are making money taking surveys? Well, companies will pay you between $1 and $20 per survey. It is really rare that you will make the $60 to $200 per survey that some companies claim. If you are looking for making money taking surveys in that range, you will be in for a surprise. Most sites will be able to offer you between 1 to 4 surveys per month.

One of the greatest factors in making money taking surveys is where you live. People in the U.S. and Canada are making money taking surveys more than people in other countries. Why are people in North America making money taking surveys while other countries struggle to find the surveys? The reason is that most of the market research survey companies are located in the U.S. and Canada. Still, there is no reason you cannot start making money taking surveys even if you live in another country.

While not every company will help you in making money taking surveys, some will offer you prizes or points for taking surveys. In some cases your survey efforts will put you in a pool to win a prize. In other cases, you can accumulate points to redeem for gifts or money. In the end, you may not be making money taking surveys, but you can earn some nice things.

However, if you are interested in making money taking surveys, you should be careful of companies that want you to pay to get access to the surveys. In many cases, some of these companies will ask you to pay and then give you the websites to some of the prominent online survey companies. Instead, there are a number of survey companies like SurveySavvy and Greenfield online that allow you to register for free. Why pay to begin making money taking surveys when you can find these companies for free?

Sex Survey Reveals Kinky Tastes

A recent survey undertaken by PleasureMeNow.com sex toys reveals people's favorite toys in the bedroom. The research also found many Valentines may receive a sex toy wrapped in red this Valentine's Day.

The survey revealed 74% of both women and men would "love" to receive a sex toy as a gift. The other 26% thought it sounded fun, and no one in the survey found the idea objectionable.

The survey established that, of those participating in the survey, 24% already owned 1 or 2 toys, 56% owned 3-6, 11% owned "Gobs" of toys and 9% don't currently own a sex toy.

Regarding the question "What is your favorite sex toy?" respondents had a fill-in-the-blank response, not a multiple-choice answer. They wrote in the following choices: 17% Rabbit Vibrator 11% Glass Dildo 10% Vibrator (Non-Specified Type) 8% Love all sex toys 7% Sex Swing 7% Strap On Dildo 6% Bullet Vibrator 5% Dildo 4% Cock Ring & Vibrating Cock Ring 4% Anal plug or bead 3% Cyberskin Sex Toy 20% other toys or none yet

"We were surprised by several of the results," said Ron Jacks, partner at PleasureMeNow.com. "One result that amazed us, even though our survey was taken on our adult toy website, was that everyone found receiving a sex toy as an appealing gift. Another result that raised several eyebrows here was how many straight men indicated their favorite sex toy was not for use on themselves but rather for use on the women in their life. Of the total men surveyed, 16% indicated their favorite toy was using a vibrator on their significant other with another 7% suggesting a glass dildo."

618 people participated in the survey. 10% of the women and 7% of men described themselves as bisexual, and 4% of people indicated they were gay.

Disappointed with Paid Surveys Programs? Read this

Have you noticed the tremendous amount of websites promising lists of Paid Survey companies that will generate a good amount of money only for filling out their surveys?

This Membership website usually charges from $19.99 to sometimes even $39.99 in order to have access to these lists.

The problem with most of this websites is that their lists are sometimes outdated or the paid surveys companies do not accept more aplications, etc, etc. I know plenty of people that paid a lot of money joining these sites and never gain a return for their investments.

The good news is that you don't have to pay ever again for these paid survey companies and the truth is that you can really get paid for filling out surveys online, go shopping, go to restaurants, try products, etc. I've been doing this for more than 2 years and it really works. Just a short amount of time is invested, and you are paid for your opinion.... isn't that terrific!! I encorauge you to look for information on this. I personally have information avialable in my Newsletter that you can use to start making money with these programs and it's FREE!

Something to keep in mind:

It can take a few days or even longer to start receiving paid survey invitations. A lot depends on your demographics. Please keep in mind that you will not qualify for every online survey. Some paid surveys are targeted to to specific details, such as your gender, the zip code you live in, etc.

This is one of the reasons I highly recommend that you get registered with multiple survey sites. In doing so you'll receive more survey invitations and thus you'll be able to do more paid surveys online. But most important of all: Never Give up! This is really happening out there, why not get a piece of the pie?? I am makeing a living with this program and you can too, just keep looking for Free information. Good Luck!

The Secrets To Finding A Good Online Survey Company

When you are looking at making money from taking online paid surveys, following tips can help -

Look for Testimonials - Often survey makers put incorrect information in Testimonials. Read testimonials carefully; look for hard facts about the survey. A few surveys give contact information about their satisfied customers. Try contacting one. If the mail bounces or it is an incorrect contact number, then one can assume that the paid survey is nothing but a scam.

Documented Proof - Some paid surveys show document images on their sites. These documents are proof of a survey taker getting paid or getting his/her reward. Read the document to verify that it is authentic.

Guarantees - If a paid survey is guaranteeing you something, do read the conditions, which go with the guarantee. Look for fine prints to ensure that you satisfy all the criteria to get paid or rewarded for taking the survey.

Legal Issues - Read the disclaimers, terms & conditions at the bottom of the page, often written in small unreadable fonts. Ascertain what are the legal implications, if any, for you if you get paid or win the reward for taking the survey.

Proxy ? Fraud site owners often host their paid surveys on proxy sites thereby concealing their identity.

Setup a dedicated email exclusively for taking online surveys. Keep checking the email box regularly. Keep the inbox clear of any unwanted or fake paid survey mails. At times, email websites block mails from paid survey. Ensure that the mails are not blocked.

If you are new to the world of paid surveys and if you need to pay to register to one of the survey websites, research the web to find reputable survey sites. For instance a good survey site would enable you to pay or receive money-using Pay pal. Also start registering with only one or two of such sites.

Fill the surveys honestly and take interest. Your responses could help you make more money.

Never send cash to any site.

Never depend on paid surveys as the only source of livelihood.

Finally, remember there is nothing like a Free Lunch.

Understanding Survey Software Features

If you take a look at the features that different survey softwares offer, you will quickly realize that understanding all of them is no mean task. But it is very important that you do because only then you can choose the right survey software. It is important for one other reason, it determines your price. More features invariably means more dollars. So if you don't choose the right survey software, you might end up paying more for features you don't need.

While it is impossible and not even worthwhile to look at all the features, here is a look at some of the important ones. Chances are that these are the ones will make or break your decision. The features have been divided into 6 categories based on their function in the process of conducting an online survey.

Survey creation

  • Images, sounds, video - This allows you to insert images, sounds, and videos in your surveys, and can enhance the appearance of your surveys. However, use it only when necessary since it increases the time it takes to download and display your survey, and certainly don't overdo it.

  • Question library, response library, sample surveys - These allow you to create surveys quickly since you don't have to create them from scratch. They are a must if you do a lot of surveys regularly. And they don't impact the price that much, so you might as well opt for them.

  • Skip logic - This allows you to skip questions depending on the answers to previous questions. Most survey softwares allow either AND or OR logic to decide whether to skip or not, but some allow a combination of any logical conditions. It might sound like a "nice-to-have" feature rather than a "must-have", but you will be surprised how often you need to skip questions in your surveys.

  • Data piping - This allows you to use the answers to some questions in the following questions. This is a very neat feature and it allows you to "personalize" your surveys. For e.g., you can say "Thanks Steve" instead of only "Thanks" if you know that the name of the respondent is Steve from a previous question. It also allows you to ask questions like "What do you like most about Coke?" when the respondent has selected Coke as his/her favorite drink in the previous question.

  • Advanced survey creation features (spell check, auto-correct, thesaurus, import from MS Word) - These are fairly advanced features and not really required in most cases, especially if you don't do surveys regularly. You can spend the time to spell check the survey yourselves. However, if you do a lot of surveys, then you might want these features. But they will impact the price quite a lot since they are considered as "premium" features.

  • Branding (your logo and background color) - This allows you to place your company logo and use your company website's background color for your surveys. This is good enough in most cases, but not if you are looking to customize each and every aspect of the survey. It is quite an important feature since it gives your respondents the feeling that they are still on your website.

  • Advanced survey presentation features (pre-designed editable survey templates, new templates, full-customized look) - These are fairly advanced features and allow you to customize almost every aspect of the survey. Survey softwares do this in a variety of ways: they have pre-designed editable templates, ability to create new templates, or create surveys with a full-custom look. These features are also considered as "premium" features and will impact the price quite a lot.

Survey Distribution and Tracking

  • Handheld device - This allows you to distribute your surveys on hendheld devices. This method of distributing is not as common as the other methods like placing link on website, embedding entire survey in websites, sending email invitation with link, or embedding entire survey in emails and newsletters. But it is definitely becoming popular because of the convenience it offers for taking surveys "on the road". As of now though, it is considered as a "premium" feature and will impact the price.

  • Track respondents - These allow you to track your respondents after they receive your email invitations. The simpler ones allow you to maintain an email list and send email invitations to all or some email addresses in the list. The more complex ones allow you to create an "audience" from the list in a variety of ways. They also allow you to track who read your email invitation and clicked on what links, who took the survey and who didn't, send reminders to the ones who didn't, etc. All these complex tracking activities fall more under the realm of "campaign management" than conducting surveys though. If you need these features, you are much better off going for a full-blown campaign management solution than a survey solution with half of what you need.

Taking Survey

  • Password protected surveys - This allows you to protect your surveys with a password. The respondents have to know the password to be able to take the survey.

  • Save and continue later - This allows your respondents to save the survey and continue later. It is a very good feature to have especially if your surveys are going to be long. Some survey softwares make the respondents explicitly save a link and bookmark it to continue later. These don't work that well compared to some others that don't require the respondents to do as much.

  • Response validation - This allows you to validate the responses your respondents enter. These features are very important since they ensure that your respondents enter "valid" responses and increases the quality of the results. Always prefer survey softwares that have more types of response validation.

  • Respondent uniqueness control - This allows you to ensure that a respondent takes the survey only once. There are a few ways to do this and not all of them are "full-proof". If you want to strictly enforce respondent uniqueness, make sure that the survey software allows you to send unique URLs to every email recipient. It is the only "full-proof" method of enforcing respondent uniqueness.

Response Collection

  • Email notification upon response submission - This allows you to get email notifications when a respondent completes a survey. It is the only way to get the responses with survey softwares that don't store them in a database. But it is also offered as an addon by those that do store them in databases.

Survey Analysis

  • Graphical reports - This allows you to graph the results and not all survey softwares have this feature. If you like to see results in neat-looking graphs, make sure that the survey software has this feature. Check out the sample reports; most companies have them on their website. Or better yet, try out the product and generate them yourselves!

  • Advanced analysis features (cross-tabulation, sub-set analysis, 360 degree feedback, etc) - These allow you to perform advanced analysis on the results. Cross-tabulation allows you to relate the responses of one question to those of another. Sub-set analysis allows you to perform analysis on a sub-set of the responses by filtering out certain responses. These are definitely "premium" features and will impact the price.

  • Export data - This allows you to export the responses so you can do analyses in your favorite tool, like Excel or SPSS. Make sure that the survey software has this feature, especially if it doesn't natively support the advanced analyses that you want to do.

Report Distribution

  • Save in PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint format - This allows you to save the report in one of the mentioned formats. It is a very convenient feature to have if you are going to distribute your report a lot.

Making the Most from Free Online Survey Taking

Taking online surveys has proven to be an exciting, legitimate way of making money online. Market research companies have questions they want answered, they pay you to answer them, and consequently are able to make better marketing decisions regarding their products and services. Its a win-win situation.

Unfortunately however, there are few people who are able to generate large amounts of income from online survey taking. Most panelists participate in one or two surveys monthly, and not on a weekly, nevermind daily basis. Why is this?

1)Panelists limit registration to one or two market research companies there are no rules that state that one cannot register with more than one online survey company. Then why limit yourself? Statistically the more market research companies you register with, the better your chances are of being invited to participate in an online survey.

2)Panelists never confirm their registration some people assume that just because theyve filled out an online registration form with a survey company, that they are part of their database of panellists. This is untrue. Many market research companies require applicants to verify their e-mail addresses by clicking a special hyperlink contained within an e-mail sent from the market research company to the potential panelists e-mail address. Clicking on this hyperlink and verifying ones e-mail account is an important final step in the registration process.

3)Panelists never check their e-mail this is so obvious yet is overlooked many times. Online survey invitations are sent via e-mail. If an e-mail account is never checked, how can one expect to participate in survey and make money? E-mail accounts should be checked at least twice a week, but preferably, daily. This ensures that survey invitations are received and that they haent expired by the time they are read.

By following these simple suggestions, one can get a head start with online survey taking. Getting paid for your opinion is fun and can act as a great way to supplement ones income. Good luck and have fun!

The Survey Feedback Process for Organizational Development and Change

THE PURPOSE OF SURVEY FEEDBACK:

In globally competitive environments, organizations are seeking information about obstacles to productivity and satisfaction in the workplace. Survey feedback is a tool that can provide this type of honest feedback to help leaders guide and direct their teams. Obstacles and gaps between the current status quo and the desired situations may or may not be directly apparent. In either case, it is vital to have a clear understanding of strategies for diagnosis and prevention of important organization problems. If all leaders and members alike are clear about the organizational development and change, strengths, weakness, strategies can be designed and implemented to support positive change. Survey feedback provides a participative approach and enables all members to become actively engaged in managing the work environment.

SURVEY PROCESS STEPS:

Step 1: Identify project plan and objectives
Step 2: Brief team leaders and employees about the process
Step 3: Administer survey
Step 4: Conduct interviews and focus groups
Step 5: Train leaders on facilitating team discussions
Step 6: Analyze the data and construct a report
Step 7: Provide feedback to leaders
Step 8: Team leaders conduct feedback action planning and meetings
Step 9: Leaders present reports on progress and results to Senior Management
Step 10: Follow-up by senior leadership to ensure progress and accountability

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TEAM LEADER:

Once the data has been collected and observations have been clarified, it becomes the leaders responsibility to familiarize the team with the findings. Next the leader involves the team in outlining appropriate solutions and strategies that members can buy into and support over the long-haul. When leaders can facilitate collaborative teaming and become an organizational development and change agent, people in the team will contribute creative ideas to enhance their work environment.

It is important for leaders to not underestimate the time and facilitation skills needed to pass on the information and foster an action-oriented environment. The initial meetings and communication sessions are just the start of a development process, not a single event. If the survey feedback is to be effective, it must be implemented into a comprehensive strategy that includes goals, responsibilities, time frames, revisions, and reviews.

Prior to the action meetings, leaders need to gain a full understanding of the survey data and begin to structure a plan for the first meeting. Once the meeting begins, the leader should guide the groups evaluation of the results and development of solutions. Following the initial meeting, a summary should be documented and action plans circulated. Follow-up meetings are necessary to coordinate and evaluate changes and progress. Action plans are the means of fully utilizing the survey feedback, without it we simply have a snap shot of where the organization is, with no plan for positive change.

If the team feedback meeting is poorly handled, there will be low front-end commitment on the part of the team. Of course group dynamics will be unique in every situation, and the leader will need to consider this as the survey data is disseminated. Tailoring sessions to meet the group characteristics will provide for a more effective discussion. In any case, consider a few of these ideas:

Be optimistic and excited about the information and how it can be used to better the organization.
Verbally express positive points.
Ask for participation by all members and reinforce their openness and contributions.
Invite them to explore with you the areas that need improvement.
Be supportive and clear about action and follow-up plans.
Establish a clear commitment to utilize the survey feedback long-term and seek further feedback from the group.

Most importantly, help the group understand the purpose and mission of the survey feedback As a leader, feast on the opportunity of having clear data and truly listen and involve members in your organizational development and change endeavor.
