Most Ivf Parents Plan to Tell Kids: Survey

The majority of parents who conceived through assisted reproduction plan to tell their children about their conception, but they're often uncertain how to go about it, a UK survey suggests.

The study included couples who had conceived using their own eggs and sperm, with the help of either conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

A woman's egg is made pregnant with sperm in a lab dish, then imbedded in her womb after few days. A latest form of IVF is ICSI that can be used whenever a problem with the number, function or quality of a man's sperm; it includes injecting a single sperm into an egg without deviation, which step-ups the chances it will be made pregnant successfully.

In the new study, researchers found that among parents of 181 5- and 6-year-olds who had been conceived through standard IVF or ICSI, most either planned to tell their children about their conception or had already done so.

Overall, 16 percent of mothers and 21 percent of fathers were undecided about the issue, while a handful of fathers -- but no mothers -- said they would never tell their children about their conception.

The survey also found that while most parents wanted to tell their children about their conception, there was some uncertainty about when and how to broach the topic. The large majority of parents who planned on telling their children said they would like the help of some "child-friendly" literature.

Online Survey Review

One of the easiest ways to make some extra cash for people like, stay at home moms, and students like myself is to get started taking online surveys. There's nothing like getting paid to give your opinion; I love it! There are also a few related home business opportunities such as Mystery Shopping, and Online Data Entry jobs.

In my own research I have found that there are literally thousands of websites promoting what they claim to be the best online survey sites. Many of the sites will claim that you should never pay to gain access to the survey companies but should instead always go to the free databases which they will gladly give you access to as long as you give them your name and web address so they can sell you something else late.

What is the average person looking to make some extra cash with the least amount of complications to do? Well I'm glad you asked!

Let's start by laying some groundwork. Don't let anyone tell you how to make money online. It is OK to get opinions and ideas from other people but always do your own due diligence. It is imperative that you check out the opportunity, no matter what it is, before you jump in with both feet and end up drowning in a flood of complicated nonsense that will waste both your time and money and won't make you a dime. If you haven't guessed by now, I am speaking from personal experience.

Now lets talk basics; online surveys are a great opportunity to make extra money but not something that will make you an instant millionaire! Need to cover this month's car payment? No problem. How about the mortgage payment? We can swing it! Of course it will depend on how much time and effort you put into filling out and submitting the surveys as you must build a track record in order to be offered some of the higher paying surveys.

The next thing we want to consider is which online survey company should we sign up with. You have two choices, a free site or a paid site. I think you should check both of them out before you make your decision but my own personal preference is to go with a reputable paid survey site where you pay a small one time fee of usually $30.00 to $40.00 to gain access to a prescreened database of solid survey companies that will pay you to give your opinion on online surveys and opinion polls.

If you choose a good site it will also have related opportunities as listed above for Mystery Shopping and Data Entry jobs. The great thing about the paid sites is they offer customer support; tips to help you get started with your online survey business, and free bonuses that are worth several times the price of admission. The site that I will be reviewing in the next paragraph also has a way for you to make most of your membership fee back in about 15 minutes!

Review of Paid Surveys Online

q Paid Surveys Online is one of the original paid survey sites and still ranks as one of the top sites in sales. This is an indication that a lot of people find their service useful. q They tend to focus on listing the better quality research companies in their databases and recently have increased the volume of companies to over 70.

q Paid Surveys Online generally select research companies that are proven to be reliable with payments; very important to anyone who does not want to waste their valuable time to get paid out with only gift certificates.

q Paid Surveys Online is good about providing companies that offer survey respondents a fair amount of compensation for the amount of time and effort required for each paid survey.

q Paid Surveys Online offers many free bonuses not provided by the others such as an instant $25.00 survey. Customer support is excellent and there is also a lot of useful information and help to be found on the Paid Surveys Online site. This is without a doubt one of the top paid survey sites.

Great amazing tips for Paid Surveys Online

What kind of special skills do surveys require?

Paid Surveys do not require any special skills at all. The main reason for the popularity of these surveys is that you don't need any special skills to do them. You are required to express your opinion for the questions asked or statements made. It is your opinion that matters. They are very easy to join. The only requirements that companies demand are having a computer and an internet connection.

No such thing as a "FREE LUNCH" but....

You must remember that not everything is 100%free. From every economics course that you've taken, they've always ingrained the concept of "There's no free lunch". Obviously your time will be used during these surveys. But like I said before you make your own decisions. You decide how many surveys you want to do and no one will ask for a quota by any means. Most surveys take 20 minutes, but regardless of how long they are you will get paid for them. NO one can guarantee if you will become a millionaire with this concept, but you can be sure that you will profit from paid surveys online. You will generate income, how much however depends on how much time you invest on these surveys.

Some quick tips

A couple of tips that I would like to share with you are: you should recognize that if any website that has absolutely no guarantee whatsoever on their sites then they are surely trying to pull the wool over your eyes (it's a scam). Some companies are fee based and typically there is no guarantee that one will secure any real employment once your subscription is paid, so it helps to work with a service whose reputation has been thoroughly researched or has been recommended to you by a reliable source. These are just a couple of tips that I'm sharing with you. There are many things to look out for when choosing the right paid survey online. If you would like to be more informed and learn the secrets of finding the right legitimate paid surveys online, then please visit the link below.

Sex Surveys Of Teenagers Prove Inaccurate: Teens Tend To Become Virgins Again

The validity of surveys of teenage sexual behavior has recently been brought into serious question. While it has always been known that many members of the age group may exaggerate the extent of their sexual experiences, despite what their parents might think if they found out about the imagined delights, it has come to light that girls, as well as boys who wish to apply the nomenclature to themselves, who confessed that they had had sex in a previous survey responded in a subsequent survey that they were now virgins.

The researchers, unaccustomed to the concept of recurring virginity, decided to sort out the confusing result.

They have now ascertained the cause of the puzzling return to a virginal state. It appears that many teens opt to take a vow of chastity after they've had some experience in the absence of that demanding virtue. Once they've taken the vow, they are inclined to decide that the experiences they had before their new devotion to chastity don't count anymore.

A new survey has been scheduled that is intended to determine why nature, which really ought to know better, insists on pervading the bodies of these otherwise innocent juveniles with hormones and the resultant physical developments that compel them toward any interest at all in sex.

As every informed person knows, the most responsible members of this budding age group would rather be able to concentrate on such far more age-appropriate activities as board games.

Tom Attea, creator of NewsLaugh.com, has had six shows produced Off-Broadway and has written comedy for TV. Critics have called his writing ""delightfully funny" and "witty" with "good, genuine laughs.

Auto repair survey offers opportunity of free speech

"Other" - it appears on most public opinion surveys as the final choice of a category. It's usually found at the bottom, serving as an often-ignored, informational catchall.

In the realm of surveys, "other" is the respondent's chance to exercise a degree of poetic license within the otherwise cold, matter-of-fact nature of market research. Here, a person can do more than just check a box or fill in a dot; it's a chance to express a long hidden opinion or a passing thought - an unexpected creative outlet.

In 2005, National Shopping Service issued a 25-question customer satisfaction survey for automotive repair services. Of the 3,674 people who responded, 656 chose the option of "other" to express themselves, enough to place this usually generic survey tail-ender into the top ten overall for both men and women.

A frequent response to "other" came from those who requested a television for the waiting room, while others didn't want one there at all. Some opinions were more specific:

"If there is a TV in the waiting room, make sure it gets a clear picture and no soap operas on. A news channel is preferred."

"I would not like the waiting area to have a loud TV stuck on annoying daytime shows, rather, interesting travel videos."

The importance of perception was important to customers in regard to the mechanics themselves:

"I want a qualified repair man, not a young kid who thinks he knows it all."

"If for some reason my husband is with me and it is my car I bring in, I expect the employee to speak to me and not be ignored."

"I don't like to see signs saying that the business isn't responsible for any stolen items. I think they should have the kind of employees working for them that won't steal out of customer's cars!"

"I want the service technician to be certified to service my vehicles before he performs work on my car."

Practicality also entered the picture. One person thought providing a low-cost loaner was a good idea, while another suggested providing a telephone to call for a ride or consult with a spouse. The request of extra assistance for the disabled and the elderly was mentioned as well.

Customer service in general was a popular topic. More than one person stated a dislike for mechanics "trying to upsell extras" perceived as "unnecessary." Another customer requested a renovation of the garage itself:

"I would like a window from the waiting area so I can observe the work being done on my car."

Time is important to everyone, and automotive repair customers are no different. The issue of time came up frequently:

"I want an estimate of time, and that [the] time [is to] be accurate within 15 minutes."

"I want a realistic estimate of the time it will take to complete the estimate AND I want a realistic estimate of the time it will take to fix the problem."

"For services that will take more than one hour, [I'd like] a shuttle service to the nearest mall."

Requests also included the installation of vending machines, a children's area, or supplying reading material "less than two years old." In fact, reading material was a rub with several of the survey participants. For example:

"[Provide] current magazines for both female and male, and NO obscene, girly posters all over the place." Or, "If there are reading materials present I would like a variety, not just Motor Trend, Harley World and NASCAR Racing."

To some respondents, first appearances and upkeep matter:

"I do not want a waiting area that has dusty chairs with worn fabrics, nor for my car to smell like grease when I get back into it."

"Landscaped areas need to be litter-free and recently mowed and trimmed."

"I'm very particular about the cleanliness of the bathroom. Usually gas station bathrooms are awful."

Other customers want more than just having their car repaired:

"I want a clean waiting area, no TV, sound-reducing cubicles with comfortable chairs, up-to-date popular magazines, complimentary fountain drink stations and a coin operated snack vending machine available. And offer a repeat customer award."

"A telephone would be nice. At the Mercedes dealership, they have desks with computer plug-ins."

"I want my car to be completely hand-washed after I obtain service from this company, FREE OF CHARGE, as well as a sign stating this."

"I would like to see more women working at these places. I would feel more comfortable if there were a woman around."

For one respondent, workplace liability means nothing:

"I would like the choice to watch what they are repairing on my car - at my own risk."

And, finally, one person combined his wishes and his critique in one breath:

"I want to have some place to smoke and maybe some newspapers or magazines to peruse. And as for that coffee, I want REAL cream, not that powdered junk!"

Daniel Dullum, an award-winning newspaper reporter, works in the public relations and business development department of National Shopping Service, Rocklin, California.

Warning: Paid Surveys Scam!

In my previous article, Five Excellent Reasons to Take Paid Surveys Today, we reviewed the main reasons why so many people take paid surveys:

* They can make good Money
* It's real Fun
* They enjoy a Cool Lifestyle
* They make their opinion counts
* It's easy to get started

You too can make top dollars and have fun just for giving your opinion. BUT, be aware that many scams run all over the Internet. You should join only LEGITIMATE survey companies or you could get in trouble!

Signing up to all surveys companies without discerning which ones are legitimate and which ones are not is a BIG MISTAKE. There are a lot of scams on the web that won't pay for the surveys you take and that won't respect your privacy! You won't be paid for your time and you will be bombarded with unwanted ads... Do you get the picture?

The really bad thing is that you will get dashed with paid surveys just because you didn't register to the right companies! To make it really work you must register only to legitimate companies.

How to discern between good and bad surveys companies?

Legitimate surveys companies comply with the following practices:

* Your privacy and the privacy of your answers will be respected.
* Your name, address, phone number, personal information, or individual responses won't be disclosed to anyone outside the research industry without your permission.
* You will not be sold anything, or asked for money, under the guise of research.
* Your decision to participate in a study, answer specific questions, or discontinue your participation will be respected without question.
* You will be paid on time for the surveys you decide to take.

Illegitimate companies typically act as following:

* They try to sell you something and in exchange they promise great rewards.
* Most of the time nobody gets these rewards!
* The Terms & Conditions of these companies (in very little writing on the bottom of their web sites) state they can sell or distribute your personal information without asking any further permission!

If you really want to make money and have great fun with paid surveys, you must join only legitimate companies.

The problem is that it takes a tremendous amount of time to examine the reputation of these companies and to read their terms and conditions! Instead of taking surveys and getting paid for your opinion, you will spend most of your time searching for the legitimate ones...

If you value your time, we recommend joining a professional database that gives access to a big collection of legitimate surveys companies. All the hard work was done for you and you can immediately start registering to companies that will really pay for your opinion instead of searching for them. The subscription fee will be easily recovered from the first surveys you will take. It's worth every penny!

Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, student, retired or just need some extra money, Maximum Paid Surveys makes it easy to get paid for your opinion.

Email Survey Software

Information technology has gradually taken over our lives. survey software has revolutionized survey methods, allowing surveys to be done for less cost, time and effort. From beginning to end, survey software is capable of doing all that can be thought of. It helps design questions, set answer choices, collects results and analyses them in numerous ways. With software like this in hand, newer ways of dispatching survey and collecting results are also being explored.

Online survey software is one of the fastest methods developed to deploy a survey. A further enhancement to this is email survey software, which is completely email supported. It has all technical features of Survey software: drop down boxes, color, font, the option to make questions mandatory, and the ability to create questionnaires and analyze results. Unlike online survey software, it does not require a web server to implement a survey. The survey, which is in HTML format, is received by respondents as a MIME encoded email or as an attachment. When the filled survey is submitted, it passes through a Compressweb Formmail gateway. The gateway composes a new email message, which is then sent back to the questionnaire sender. An emailing engine tracks responses and sends reminder emails. Documents, graphic and sound files can also be attached along with the survey for feedback from respondents.

The survey can be dispatched by various methods. A URL can be emailed to respondents and posted on a website. Survey popups can be added to existing websites and configured to reach users only once. HTML formats can also be created to add a survey to e-newsletters. The email survey software sends out blank surveys and receives completed ones through email. There is more saving on time, as this system rejects duplicated or forwarded mails. Emails are accepted from only those who have been selected. The system frequently checks the POP3 server or Outlook Express (whichever applicable) for survey replies and stores them.

Like all other forms of survey software, different versions of email survey software are available online with many vendors. Simplest versions with less features are available for trial at minimal or no charges. Advanced versions are available only with full payment options.

For those on the lower rungs of the property ladder, the cost of moving from an average terraced home priced at ?149,906 to a semi-detached of ?174,744 is ?5,304 in England and Wales. Moving from an average semi valued at ?174,744 to a detached home worth ?293,248 costs a massive ?12,535 today compared to ?4,535 in 2000** (an average detached property cost ?161,086 in 2000). That's an increase in fees of 176 percent compared to house price growth of 70 percent. This can be largely attributed to detached properties having gone through the government's three percent stamp duty threshold set at ?250,000.

Andy Gray, head of mortgages for the Woolwich said: "Contrary to popular opinion the increase in moving fees since the start of the decade for people on the lower rungs of the property ladder has not kept pace with house price inflation, and therefore should not be putting them off getting on the property ladder or taking the next step up. Competition amongst solicitors and estate agents has increased as the less buoyant market has meant less business to chase.

"However, it's at the top end of the market that people are getting unsettled by headline numbers like ?25,000 to move up from a semi to a detached. At these levels people are thinking seriously about extending or converting a basement or loft which can be more cost effective than moving."
Regional highlights
Since the beginning of the millennium, London fees for moving from an average priced terraced to a semi have increased by more than one and half times the rate of house price growth, as these homes now fall into the three percent stamp duty bracket, whereas in 2000 homes only made it into the one percent threshold. Londoners now pay ?16,659 to move from a terraced property to a semi, that's around ?9,500 more than 2000 and can be compared to a mover in the North who pays out just ?3,427.

In five out of 10 regions the buying and selling fees have outstripped house price growth when moving from an average priced semi to a detached. The South East is the worst affected area outside of London, as fees have outstripped house price growth by nearly four times and would cost a home mover ?15,580. This compares to ?5,101 in Wales which is one of the regions where moving costs have risen more slowly than house prices.

How first time buyers fare:
Fees for first time buyers to buy a home have risen pretty much in line with house price growth 94 percent and 99 percent respectively since the start of the decade. First time buyers now need to save on average ?9,113 to purchase their first home this compares to ?4,698 since the start of this decade. Regionally, it's first time buyers in the South who need to save the most with an average ?10,825 compared to ?4,615 in the North.

Looking back over the past year:
Stripping out house price changes, in the past year the average buying and selling costs (between ?60k and ?1m) in England and Wales have remained much the same with a small decrease of 0.4 per cent. Overall solicitors' charges have reduced by one percent and estate agents increased by one per cent.

Regionally, the fees for buying and selling varies widely with a key divide between the North and South, home buyers in the North pay on average 11 percent less than those in the South. The difference in costs is due to estate agents fees, which simply reflect the cost of properties in the South. Sellers in the South pay on average 33 percent more than their counterparts in the North. Solicitors' fees are also 30 percent higher in the South.

The 3 Vital Ingredients For a Successful Paid Survey

Many people are making a good income online by simply filling out paid surveys. It has become one of the biggest growth industries in the home business sector and people are earning great part-time and sometimes even full-time incomes just by completing paid surveys online and offline. Anyone can do surveys and people in all walks of life from students to stay at home moms are doing paid surveys to boost their earnings.

However, in order to get the best paying survey jobs at the highest rates, there are several insider tips and tricks that you need to know. Surveys work by asking the public what they think about a particular subject, so common sense tells you that if you are a 70 year old grandmother you will not be considered as a serious candidate to give your opinion on young men's fashion.

Here are the three most important factors in the world of paid surveys.

1. Sex. Surveys are all about one thing and one thing only, finding out what the public wants to buy so that the company can sell it to them. Always bear that simple fact in mind when completing a paid survey. The most important factor governing whether you will buy a product or not is the sex of the buyer. Males and females buy different things and if a product is aimed at females, the company selling it wants the opinion of women ONLY.

2. Age. As with sex, people of different ages buy different things. Young people have different tastes and needs from the older generation in almost every aspect of life and vendors want to seek the opinion of the age group that they are targeting their product towards.

3. Income. People with different levels of income obviously buy different kinds of product as well as different brands of them. Your current income will affect which surveys you are eligible to take, very high earners for example wouldn't be considered as good survey candidates for most types of paid survey.

These are just a few of the things you need to know about paid surveys, there is a lot more to learn in order to maximize the potential and make good money. Diving in head first on your own is not a good strategy, you will face a steep learning curve that can even result in you not making money at all, so it is best to seek out expert advice from those that have tested all the surveys and know which methods will bring you the best income.

Avoiding Online Paid Surveys Scams

The bottom line is, if the hype for online paid surveys sounds too good to be true, it likely is. That's the safest way to screen out "offers" that hype big rewards for small investments of time or money. Don't be fooled by:

Testimonials - Ropers and shills typically write these for scams, not satisfied customers.

Documented Proof - Some questionable paid survey sites provide checks and other documental replications as "proof." But just because someone made money at least once, doesn't mean that you will. Besides, with today's computer technology, anybody can counterfeit just about any document and make it look authentic.

Guarantees - Don't believe guarantees that promise the Moon. paid survey sites can't possibly guarantee you much of anything, except that they'll refund your fees if you're not satisfied. But good luck collecting your refund if it's a paid surveys scam.

Reliable- and Trusted-Site Logos - Some questionable paid survey sites display these logos to indicate that they are self-regulating in compliance with the standards represented by the logos. But even legit logos can be stolen, such as those trademarked by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), with a simple right-click of the computer mouse. Click the logos to see where they lead. If they don't lead to valid reports at reputable sites (such as the BBB's official, national reliability site, the URL for which begins with https://www.bbbonline.org/) or the reports are unfavorable, be wary.

The "fine print" at questionable paid survey sites often contradicts much of what their hype implies. (That's how they try to cover themselves legally.) Don't let the hype alone sell you. Read all of the fine print too and ask questions if it's vague or you don't understand it. Think twice about submitting your personal information to any paid surveys site that does not provide a clear privacy policy or arouses your suspicion in any other way. Also read disclaimers, terms, conditions and any other fine print. Avoid sites that don't answer your questions in a satisfactory and timely manner. Be wary of conducting business with sites that list only email or PO box addresses for questions and other matters, as they might be fly-by-night, paid survey scams.

Perform "whois" lookups to reveal if paid survey sites were registered by proxy. If so, be wary of doing business with them too. Site owners might be hiding their contact information behind proxy services, because they're running paid survey scams. Whois lookups will also tell you if different sites were launched by the same owners (unless they were registered by proxy). If so, be wary about that too. Owners might have launched multiple sites so to make their "industry" appear to be more legit, dupe you into buying the same list of paid surveys more than once, or both.

Check with the BBB for complaints against specific online paid survey sites and their owners. But, be aware that, just because there are no complaints, it doesn't mean that all who have conducted business with the sites are 100-percent satisfied. It just means that no one has yet complained to the BBB about those specific sites. More about that is below.

Browse scam forums, such as Scam.com and RipOffReport.com, for messages from consumers who think they've been duped by online paid survey scams. But, proceed with caution. Some messages are posted by ropers and shills pretending to "rescue" those who've been duped by paid survey scams or who are looking to avoid it. For example, the "rescuers" might say that all online paid surveys are scams, except for the "wonderful opportunities" they've found. But, what they don't tell you, is they profit from recommending the "wonderful opportunities". (The same goes for many sites that claim to screen out paid survey scams.) Scam-forum moderators typically remove such messages. But, natch, they'll remain posted until the moderators screen them.

For more information about avoiding scams, see the consumer advice from the FTC and BBB. But, although both have issued general warnings about easy-money schemes (such as work-at-home and Internet business-opportunity scams), at this writing neither has specifically warned about online paid surveys. To issue specific warnings, both agencies typically require many complaints in short order. But many victims don't file complaints, because they're embarrassed that they were duped. Additionally, online paid surveys are a fairly new easy-money scheme at this writing. So, the agencies might not have collected enough complaints to issue specific warnings. But this writer is willing to bet that it won't be long before they do.

If you've been ripped-off by online paid survey scams, as indicated you may file complaints with the FTC and BBB. You may also file complaints with the U.S. government's Internet Fraud Complaint Center.

One of the questions I get most often is how to tell whether a work from home job posting is a scam or a legitimate job. There are some warning flags. In addition, there are sites that can help you determine what's a real work at home job and what isn't.

David Clemen has over a decade of experience in the online marketing world. Previous clients include Cingular and JD Powers. Currently he is a contributor to http://jpcservicesinc.com/page5.html , an online work at home opportunities screening and referral service. JPC's mission is to provide legitimate work at home opportunities to consumers ABSOLUTELY FREE.

These Darn Paid Survey Web Sites Just Don?t Work?Do They?

Paid Survey sites do work, it just takes time. No, you won?t make $5,000 in your first month but you can make that much after a few months with hard work and perseverance. Many people are looking for a get-rich-quick way to make a living on the web. Paid to survey sites are not the way to get rich quick. But they are a way to supplement income or to become a full-time job. I have used paid survey web sites to make a decent living for a few years now. Below are the ways I did it:

? In order to make a living at paid surveys, I signed up for 3 paid survey sites. I was taking surveys about 2-3 hours a day (including weekends) at first. My first months check was $189.47 cash plus $75 in gift certificates. Not a lot, and not a good hourly salary, but this was just the beginning. The 2nd month was better. Working the same 2-3 hours a day, I made just over $476 and $36 in gift certificates. You see, the first month I only signed up for on paid survey site. The 2nd month I signed up for 2 additional sites. I figure that my hourly salary the 2nd month came to $8 hour. Still not the best but I was making this while I sat in my house watching TV. My third month I made just over $1655 plus $178 in gift certificates. And it just kept getting higher after that.
? The reason the money got better and better is, I think, because more companies were offering me higher paying surveys. When I first signed up, they had no idea if I was just another tire kicker and would not take their surveys. Once they saw I was constantly taking surveys sent to me, I was reliable and knew I would take the surveys. Companies want us to take their surveys. If they need 100 people to take their paid survey and send it to 100 people, but only 45 take it, then they have to send it out to another 65 people to get it up to 100. If you were one of those people who did not take it, chances are they will not send you anymore surveys again. That cuts down on the number of surveys sent to you. So if you sign up for a paid survey site, take the surveys. It is easy and you will make money.
? I never gave up. There were times where I was tired of sitting in front of my computer taking paid surveys all day. Today, I spend about 6 hours a day in front of my computer taking paid surveys. Some days I just don?t like it. There are 2 things I do to get over this. #1, it is way better than commuting to a job and having a boss tell me what to do. #2, I turn off my computer and enjoy my day in other ways. I go out to lunch with my working friends, go shopping, workout, etc. You see, with paid surveys, I can work when I want and where I want.

Paid Survey web sites have provided me with a great lifestyle. Could I make more money than I do now doing something else? Probably, but I am somewhat lazy, and I love this lifestyle. It is Sunday today but it could be Monday or Friday for all I care. Each day I do the same thing?Whatever I want. Next week I am going to Jamaica for 10 days, and because I will have internet access down there I can work while on vacation. It really isn?t work taking paid surveys on the beach while drinking a Pina Colada, but it allows me to live my life on my terms.

Do Paid Online Surveys Really Pay?

As money making opportunities on the internet continue to grow, the number of scams and non-profitable ventures continue to escalate. Paid online surveys have been around for many years and continue to be one of the safest, easiest, and risk-free ways to make a moderate amount of money from home.

In my last article, I focused a lot on affiliate marketing and my successes and failures concerning this money making program. Prior to affiliate marketing, I focused on making money through paid online surveys. Let's first get to the main question at hand: Do Paid Surveys Really Pay? The short answer to this is yes. Paid online surveys do actually pay and in most cases, this is not a scam or a waste of time. Prior to really answering this question thoroughly, let me explain what "Paid Surveys" really mean. While looking for "Online Money Making Opportunities" online, I am sure we have all come across the paid survey ads. When I was initially looking to make a little bit of extra cash to supplement my current income, it seemed to be the most ideal solution. At first, I tried to be "frugal" about it and hunt out paid survey sites on my own. I found about 5 or six sites that promoted offering to pay for taking surveys. I signed up for them, got on their mailing list, and nothing! I waited about 2 weeks for "a survey" and did not get anything. Very annoying! I continued to research the topic (in forums) and started to realize that 5 sites are not enough to get started. That prompted me to join a paid survey site. This is when I learned what "Paid Surveys" is all about! In order to make paid surveys work, you need to step out of the box a little bit. There is MORE to paid surveys than just "Paid Surveys". Remember, the whole point to getting paid for surveys is for companies to collect data, build profiles and become more successful marketers. Filling out paid surveys online is just one way to do this. Phone interviews are a way to collect data. Online focus groups exist where you join a real-time discussion online. Also, you can read other people?s email and get paid for it. While this seems strange, you can get paid a few cents per email, and this can add up in a short hour! There are about a half-dozen more ways as well to earn money through paid survey opportunities. Getting back to the original question again: Yes, you can get paid for you opinion! Most surveys I have gotten range between $5 and $25 each (for about 15 minutes to an hour of your time). Getting paid to read emails is about one cent to ten cents per email read (and I have made up to about $15 in an hour doing this). The other thing to be aware of is the payment options. A lot of paid survey sites offer compensation in either money and/or prizes. This can be a good or bad thing, depending on why you are doing these programs. Some of the prize sites are pretty nice and you can get more value in prizes than cash. The main point to be made here is that you will be paid for you time. If you fill out a survey or sit in on a focus group, your time will be compensated. You commitment goes no further than the survey or interview or the group you attend. For people like stay-at-home parents or even college students, this is a great way to bring in a little bit of extra cash at your own leisure. A lot of it is quite a brain-dead exercise that you can do while watching some bad reality TV in the background. My biggest issue with paid surveys is its lack of residual income as well as its income potential. I see ads that advertise that you can make thousands of dollars per month doing surveys. Their math seems to be pretty convincing as well: If you do two paid surveys a day at $20 each, for 30 days, that is $1200 per month! Wow! How easy! Not quite reality, though. If you sign up with enough paid survey sites, you can expect to get (on average) about 5-10 surveys per week, and most of these pay in the $5-$10 range. If you also join some focus groups and phone interviews, you can add an additional $100 per week. So in reality, making $500 is very doable, but that is near the ceiling for cash potential. It is still not bad! That is an extra $6000 per year (and a fairly respectable car payment!). If you were looking for a higher paying online opportunity, I would then recommend affiliate marketing. Online marketing provides the potential for a lot of residual money (money that is earned while you are not actually driving it) and its earning potential can be in the thousands to tens of thousands per month. Affiliate marketing does require a lot more commitment, initial set-up and a bit of training (all of which is achievable to anyone, as long as they are focused on their goals!). Read my article First Impressions of Affiliate Marketing to learn more about this.

In summary, I would like to give a few suggestions to those who are planning on trying to make money through paid survey programs:

1) Sign up for as many paid surveys as you can! - Most paid survey sites provide you with only one or two survey opportunities per month. If you are signed up on 50 sites, you now can about 2 surveys per day.

2) Sign up for a Paid Survey Link Site - So where do you find these 50 or so sites? That is what these paid survey link sites are all about. Most of them cost about $35 to join, but it is a one time fee (for any reputable site). Trying to find 50 sites on your own would take 10s of hours (and remember, time is money that you can be making filling out surveys!). To learn more about paid survey sites, visit make--money--taking--surveys.blogspot.com Paid Survey Sites Reviewed

3) Funnel all of your paid survey email into one, new, dedicated email account. - I found that some paid survey opportunities can appear as spam and become lost in a regular email account.

4) Stay Organized! - As you start receiving paid online surveys, start a spreadsheet of whom you are working for and what you expect to be paid. When trying to manage over 50 sites, you can very easily forget which companies owe you money or prizes.

5) Remember, you are still an employee of the paid survey sites! - Be sure to fill out the surveys accurately and consistently. Surveys that have box number three filled out throughout the entire questionnaire provide them with no feedback and you will more than likely stop receiving survey requests. Also, if you start ignoring a lot of requests, they will stop sending them.

Paid surveys are an honest and solid way to make a little extra money on the side. Like any money making opportunity, there is a little bit of initial overhead time, but with paid surveys, once you are set up, you are set up for awhile. You CAN make money working from home and paid surveys are a fairly safeArticle Search, easy and risk-free way of doing so.
